Scarabs are a diverse family of beetles found everywhere around the world except the ocean. Interesting fact: there are 30.000 scarab beetles comprising 10% of all known beetles. We like the fact that they were found in ancient Egypt and as an amateur Egyptologist. I was shocked to find that it is actually called a dung beetle. How unromantically mundane!
